Planning Your Resident’s Care (4 CEUs)
This four‐hour course helps the administrator understand how the admissions and assessment process can set resident care on the course for success. Participants will review the requirements and procedures for admitting a new resident and planning their care. They will also assess how their current process might be improved to maximize the quality of care each resident receives.

Conflict and Behavior Management (4 CEUs)
This four-hour course teaches participants about behavior as a form of communication and how to manage it using the ABCs of behavior, triggers, and responses. It also covers identifying and handling difficult behaviors in residents. Participants will learn about the five types of conflict managers and the five Ps of conflict management, and how to apply them to different situations. The program aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage difficult behaviors and conflicts in various settings.

Regulations: Infection Control in Residential Care (2 CEUs)
Residents and staff in long-term care facilities are at higher risk of infection than the average population. Infections acquired in healthcare settings account for more than 380,000 deaths annually. Infections add to health care costs, increase hospitalizations, and lead to diminished quality of life for residents. Infection control is one of the primary goals of care in a residential facility. This two-hour course reviews the regulatory requirements for infection prevention and the role of the Infection Control Lead.
