Dementia Regulations: What You Need to Know! (4 CEUs)
(This Course is ONLY approved for Regulations)
This four‐hour course focuses on topics such as new forms from licensing, a new medical assessment tool, and the qualifications of medical professionals who can perform assessments. It also emphasizes understanding and documenting behavioral expressions, with a focus on the idea that “all behavior is communication”. The curriculum includes discussions on facility requirements, staff training, reporting procedures for elopement, planned activities, and advertising regulations.

Dementia: Smart Support (2 CEUs)
This course focuses on effective communication techniques and creating a dementia-friendly environment to support those living with dementia. Participants will explore the challenges dementia presents to communication and learn practical strategies for improving interaction and socialization. The course also covers how the environment can support comfort and engagement, and addresses common issues like depression, sleep disturbances, delusions, and hallucinations, with strategies for care and support.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to enhance the quality of life for people living with dementia through compassionate communication and an understanding of their unique needs.
