This five-hour course looks at the areas seniors, adults and family members say are the most important as they choose residential care options. How’s the food? Will there be activities I’ll enjoy? Will I get along with others who live there? Participants leave with at least three new ideas for care.

Laughing All the Way to the Bank: How to Keep Your Workforce Happy (4 CEUs)
This four-hour class will review the literature regarding positive work environments and the importance of laughter and humor. Through lecture, discussion and activities, participants will develop an appreciation for the science behind laughter and the importance of creating workplaces that encourage employees to enjoy their work. Material will also be discussed about the importance of laughter in dealing with elders and people with disabling conditions, as it affects the types of activities planned and developed for that population.
