Dementia: Strategies for Person Centered Care (4 CEUs)
This four-hour course is designed specifically for those working in residential care settings with individuals living with dementia. We’ll focus on person-centered care strategies tailored to promote dignity, independence, and meaningful engagement within these environments. Participants will gain a deep understanding of dementia, regulatory updates relevant to residential care, and practical approaches to enhance the quality of life for residents affected by dementia.

End of Life Issues (4 CEUs)
This four‐hour course covers issues for administrators who may deal with residents at the end of life. Students will have an opportunity to look at their issues about death, dying, grieving, and coping. Because of the increased life span of individuals with developmental disabilities, those operating adult homes will find information helpful for all levels of staff.

Restricted and Prohibited Conditions and Postural Supports (2)
This two‐hour course identifies conditions that are either restricted or prohibited in residential care, as well as appropriate conditions for the use of postural supports. Requirements for retaining residents with restricted conditions or postural supports will be reviewed.
